Quick meal on the go. ALCHEMy

I’ve found a pretty tasty, filling, and near perfect macro meal-on-the-go option that is easy to put together and doesn’t require refrigeration. I call this food ALCHEMy, although the name certainly needs work.

The three simple ingredients can be found at Trader Joes. (I will have to blog about the cool keto food I can find at this store).

Simply stir together

  • 2 tbls creamy ALmond butter
  • 2 tbls CHia seeds
  • 3 tbls hEMp hearts

This makes ALCHEMy (see what I did there) a sort of thick paste. Still “runny” but sticks to a spoon.

The macros on this combination comes in looking like:

Eating this really does carry me through the day. I usually try to work on a gross carb basis, but the 8 grams of insoluble fiber from the chia seeds make a difference in keeping “regular”, so for this recipe I don’t sweat going by the net value.

The best thing about this meal option is that it tastes pretty good. You could spread this on some celery if you wanted a little crunch,  but in it’s original form, it is easy to take along as a nutritionally power-packed small package wherever you go.
